Italy does not use a vignette: motorways are charged per kilometre. However, several sections operate as barrier-free free-flow tolls with number plate recognition (Pedemontana Lombarda A36, Como and Varese bypasses). Our pass links prepaid credit to your number plate to pay for these passages.
